Mark Russell, MSW

AAC Outreach Coordinator

Based in northeast Mississippi, Mark worked as a clinical outpatient therapist at Oxford Treatment Center’s Tupelo Outpatient Office before joining the AAC Mid-South team. He holds a master’s degree in social work and completed his internship at Oxford Treatment Center’s Etta and Tupelo location. He has lived in the Tupelo area for more than 25 years.

Debbie Smith

AAC Outreach Coordinator

Based in north central Mississippi, Debbie has been connecting people with services in mental and behavioral healthcare since 2011. Her prior experience includes community relations outreach for a regional behavioral health hospital providing adult psychiatric, medical detox and geriatric behavioral services.

Dawn M. Wisdom, M.Ed.

AAC Outreach Coordinator

Based in Jackson and central Mississippi, Dawn joined AAC in 2015 as part of the Brentwood, Tenn.-based corporate support team. Her experience includes working with clients and families across the country to overcome the obstacles that keep people from accessing treatment for drug and alcohol addiction.

Brian Whisenant

Director of Community Relations
Brian leads outreach activities in the Oxford community and at the University of Mississippi. His work includes developing continuing education programming and community workshops. He represents Oxford Treatment Center with the Oxford-Lafayette County Chamber of Commerce and the LOU Mental Health Alliance, and is a member of the Oxford-Ole Miss Rotary Club. He is a volunteer leader for a life skills and self-esteem program at Oxford High School.

Brian holds a bachelor of fine arts degree from the University of Southern Mississippi. He is an actor and director with Theatre Oxford and a head programmer for the Oxford Film Festival.

Lucy Schultze

Communications Coordinator

Lucy works with regional media outlets and produces stories for Oxford Treatment Center’s website, newsletters and social media. A former journalist, she was a senior staff writer at The Oxford Eagle newspaper and a longtime contributing writer for Medical Newspapers Inc. She is an adjunct instructor of writing for Integrated Marketing Communications in the University of Mississippi’s Meek School of Journalism and New Media.
