Cannabis: Myths & Misconceptions

Behavioral Health Professionals Hear Dr. Nuckols

Oxford Treatment Center’s Tupelo Outpatient Office was privileged to host the Tupelo Behavioral Health Networking Group’s monthly meeting in April. Dr. Cardwell C. Nuckols shared insights on cannabis use, abuse and addiction with the group. The monthly meetings are organized by North Mississippi Medical Center.

Now in Tupelo: New Morning IOP

Oxford Treatment Center’s Tupelo Outpatient Office has launched a new morning Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) for drug or alcohol addiction.

The program includes group therapy meetings on Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays from 9 a.m. to noon.

The new timeslot complements the office’s existing evening IOP program, which meets from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the same days. The morning group offers a convenient treatment option for:

  • Mothers with school-aged children
  • Restaurant employees
  • Second- or third-shift industry employees
  • Others who work in the afternoons or at night

The IOP program typically lasts 10 weeks and also includes individual therapy sessions. For more information or referrals, call the Tupelo Outpatient Office at 662.680.2636.
